The Other Body – Presentation :: Nataly Zukerman is an independent performance artist. At the age of 12 she was severely injured and suffered from a severe neural back injury. Today her disability is almost invisible and she does not fulfill the stereotype of ‘the disabled woman,’ creating a dissonance between the physical reality and the internal experience. In her performance-demonstration, she performs parts of her seminal work, “The Other Body,” and talks about her unseen disability, her personal and artistic path to publicly owning the term disabled, and her fight against Israeli society and the art world that secretly excludes disabled people and artists.
