Boston area credits: Six Characters in Search of an Author, The King Stag, Macbeth, Picasso at the Lapin-Agile (American Repertory Theater); Desdemona-a play about a handkerchief (BCA); The River Was Whiskey (Boston Playwrights’); La Vita Claire (Centastage); Legacy of Light, Red Herring, Lost in Yonkers, The Miracle Worker (Lyric Stage Company); DollHouse (New Repertory Theatre); Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It (Publick Theatre); Picnic and Distant Music (Stoneham Theater) and Shear Madness (Charles Playhouse). Regional productions include The Rose Tattoo (Berkshire Theatre Festival), Arcadia (The Firehouse Theatre at Newburyport), and Of Mice and Men (American Stage Festival). She recently performed in the Ayckbourn trilogy, The Norman Conquests at Gloucester Stage Company, for which she garnered an IRNE award for Best Ensemble.
Ms. Newhouse is a founding company member of the Actors’ Shakespeare Project, with whom she has performed more than a dozen roles in 8 years. Some of her favorites include Macbeth, The Merchant of Venice, Medea, Twelfth Night, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Taming of the Shrew. She also is an Artistic Associate of ASP.
Sarah is a graduate of Hampshire College and the A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University. She currently serves on the board of directors for StageSource.
