It is with great pleasure that we welcome the New Year with apples and honey, and with it a New (and sweet) Season.
In September, 2013, we will present the American Premiere of Oh, God by Anat Gov (of Best Friends), a witty and touching play about God going to therapy. In November, 2013, in celebration of our third birthday, we will present the American Premiere of Hanoch Levin’s poetic play about a lonely beggar’s last hope for romance, The Whore from Ohio, as well as remount our adaptation of David Grossman’s novel To the End of the Land, thanks to the encouraging feedback you gave us at Harvard University two seasons ago.
During the second half of our season, we will be welcoming back Motti Lerner (of At Night’s End) for the New England Premiere of Hard Love, a play about faith and doubt, agnosticism and heresy, and above all, love. And for the closing of the season, we are very excited to announce that the beloved playwright Savyon Liebrecht (of Apples from the Desert and The Banality of Love) will be joining us in Boston to work on a world premiere of a play about Freud’s women in the Spring of 2014.
We look forward to another year of celebrating the diversity and vitality of Israeli culture, and as always, we look forward to seeing you at the theatre!
